A magnificent, adorable, multi-functional and versatile scarf can be worn in hundreds of ways. But I bet most of us only know at least one or two and at most 10 ways to wear it. A scarf is a staple in fashion and can be worn together with any kind of outfits whatever the season is. From a thin and light scarf to a knitted thick scarf, you can always find what you have been looking for. Below are the top 3 styles of tying a scarf.
1. European loop – This scarf style is one of the most popular scarf styles. It is very easy to do and looks great on any clothes. It is best to use this style with a light- medium sized scarf. Here’s how to do it.
· First, take a long scarf and fold it in a half crosswise.
· Drape the scarf on your neck, the two ends and the loop in front of you.
· Get the loose ends and slide it on the loop created by the fold.
· Pull the ends up to your desired tightness.
2. Ascot knot – This style is very common and I think you have already used this without you knowing that this is an ascot knot. This tie is very similar to how men wear their tie. Here’s how to do it:
· Get a scarf and let it hang around your neck.
· Let the left end hang over the right end
· Then bring the left at the back of the right end.
· Pull it up through the neck loop and bring down to let it hang.
· If you want a tighter knot, loop the left end around the right end twice.
3. Basic – As obvious as its name, this style is very basic and common, yet still stylish. This is technically not a knot, as what you need to do is just tuck, toss here and there. Here’s how to do it:
· Get a scarf and let it hang around your neck, the ends hanging evenly.
· Get the right end and pull it over the right end.
· Then get the right end through the neck loop and throw it over the left shoulder.
